Looking for your perfect summer dress?

Dear readers,

Today (Day 3) of my holiday I am staying at my grandparents' summer house. Today it has been over 30 degrees therefore I have decided it would be a great day to wear a cute summer dress and I am more than in love with this dress I have so why not show it to you? Take a look below for some pictures!

As you can see the neckline, skirt and the quarter length sleeves all have the same flowery pattern while the torso part is kept simple and plain.

This dress is originally from ASOS but I actually got this on a carboot sale for about £2 last year!

The pattern on the skirt contains beautiful flower patterns in white/cream, pink and blue colours which look beautifully on the black dress.

I would just like to let you know this dress is pretty short as it goes just below the bum so if that is too short for your likings you could always wear it with some leggings or a black skirt to make it not obvious or maybe a bright blue or pink one to match the patterns and make it stand out!

The top is quite loose and floats nicely. If you do not have the perfect stomach this would hide it nicely and if you have a great small waist the tightening at the waist will show that off beautifully!

The skirt part of the dress has a beautiful pattern, matching the sleeves

The dress has a pretty straight across neckline which shows very little except from more shoulders than a usual dress would.

I wanted to share this because this dress must be one of my faves and I wanted to show you guys this because it is quite interesting and not the usual summer dress. It's great because not everyone is comfortable with showing their arms and these three quarter length sleeves would be perfect to hide them, it still keeps you cool in this summer heat, it can hide a bit of unwanted stomach or highlight your beautiful waist. If you're conscious about showing your chest area it covers it great while still looking girly and feminine. You can wear it as a cute summer dress or a tunic along with some leggings too!

Really not the best image of a sun set

So my journey basically consisted of a 15 minute journey to Heathrow airport then a 2 hour flight to Warsaw and then a 7 hour coach journey to where I was staying with my family.

After I got to Warsaw it was around 30 degrees Celsius so I got changed into a short dress, sandals, a scarf tied around my bun and some sunglasses which unfortunately I did not get a picture of! Sorry.

I hope you enjoyed this little post and I know and I am sorry there is not as much fashion and beauty in this post but some of the next posts will probably be a little bit more personal so you can see what I get up to behind all the fashion blogging! Hope you enjoyed this, leave some comments or questions down below!

Travel essentials - What's in my hand luggage?

Dear readers,

I know it is the 3rd post in one day and that seems a little bit crazy but that is because tomorrow I am going on holiday and I don't know how often I will be able to update the blog, hopefully I will have plenty of time to post and keep you guys updated.

In this post I will show you what I have in my hand luggage, this will be ideal for any travel as well as just for this flight. Hope this will help in case you are not sure what to take and what you can and cannot carry in your hand luggage when you're at the airport!

As hand luggage I am using my handbag which is from next to carry all my belongings. The bag has a lot of different handles which means I can use the one which feels the most comfortable which is important if you are going somewhere far away and will be up for a long time carrying it around!

Tip: If you are going for quite a long holiday and you are taking quite a few bags with you choose the right one as your hand luggage! Which one takes up the most space in your suitcase? Which one is the heaviest? Choose the one which you might not want to put in you suitcase because you are on a weight limit or it takes up too much space and use it as your hand luggage! (Some airlines have restrictions on the size of your hand luggage so make sure you are familiar with that before you go.)

A cosmetics bag, take some of your must have cosmetics along with you in case you need to freshen up after sleeping at the airport or on the plane. My cosmetics bag is from Superdrugs and contains Pink Friday perfume (30ml,) Maybelline FIT me powder, bronzer, MUA BB cream (30ml,) Maybelline Baby lips in Peach Kiss, Collection 2000 illuminating touch brightening concealer, Lancome Precious Cells mascara, eyelash curler, brown eyeshadow for filling in eyebrows, brush for filling in eyebrows and some bobby pins.

Remember: The limit for liquids in your hand luggage is 100ml! If any of the things inside your hand luggage including cosmetics is over a 100ml they will take it off you or you will have to dispose of it before hand. Make sure all things such as creams, lotions, perfumes, foundations, drinks are less than 100ml, disposed of before the security gates or put in your main luggage!

I always take a few books to read on the way to/from the airport, at the airport or on the plane. If you can't sleep or you have to wait for a while (which happens a lot at airports) a book is always handy to have. I have the 3 books of the series called Diary of a crush by Sarra Manning to read this summer as well as 2 other books in my main luggage.

I carry sunglasses in my hand luggage for 3 reasons; it might actually be sunny or you would like to wear them when you get to your holiday destination, you have no time to do your eye make up as it will probably get ruined anyway, or you look extra sleepy, tired, with under eye bags and dark circles, in glasses nobody will know!

Your purse! Make sure to not forget that, inside I have already exchanged money as well as around £15 pounds for food, drinks and maybe some shops at the airport. Inside I have my passport, travel documents, and some paracetamol for unexpected pains such as headaches.

A change of clothes is always good, I am wearing quite warm clothes to the airport so I am taking spare lighter clothes as in the place I'm going to it is currently very hot. I took a dress, some sandals and a scarf to tie up my hair nicely.

Other useful things to remember:

A laptop - If you get bored easily and you might want to use it abroad.
Body spray/deodorant - Make sure it is 100ml or less!
A water bottle  and some snacks
Headphones
Phone/ipod
Toothbrush or a mouthwash if you are on a long flight
Blanket/pillow again for long flights or sleeping

I hope this helped you to get some ideas and decide what you will put in your hand luggage.

3 drugstore make up items I brought and a bad return!

Dear readers,

Today I have been to Superdrugs (It is an UK drugstore for those who live outside of the UK,) and picked up a total of 4 items for only £10.98. Some of you might wonder why in the picture there are only 3 items.. That is because as soon as I got home I realised I absolutely hated what I have brought and it was terrible (at least in my opinion) Read down below to find out what I'm talking about!

What I have brought

Maybelline Baby Lips Balm in Peach Kiss £2.99
Collection 2000 Illuminating Touch Concealer £3.99
MUA BB cream £4
Total: £10.98

So as I was saying before I returned one of the things I brought within a few hours of trying it, the product which I am talking about is the I believe new Rimmel London Scadaleyes thick and thin eyeliner. When I picked it up I thought, oh great thick and thin, it also looked great when I tried it out on my hand and it was on a sale only for £3.99 so I brought it. When I tried putting it on the brush part was so hard and would not give a nice and smooth line at all, the black which looked great on my hand turned into a gray which looked like I wore the eyeliner for at least a day, I haven't noticed but it said 'waterproof' on the packaging, it was the WORST waterproof eyeliner in the world, after a few smudges with my finger it easily got off I didn't even believe it was waterproof. The overall effect came out terrible and I returned it straight away, thank god I was able to get a refund!

I hope you got a few ideas of what you would like to buy for the summer and what not to buy or bother trying out!
