ASOS summer must-haves!

Dear readers,

Today I have came up with an ASOS summer shopping bag and some summer must haves and some of my faves from each category I found on the ASOS website.
All of the following outfits can be found on the ASOS website

Here are some of my summer must haves!

The dress

Since most of the time summer is the hottest time of the year it's great to go for a dress during that time of year. Whether you are into midi dresses, skater dresses, cut out shoulder dresses or the girly dresses there is always gonna be a dress out there just for you! These can be made into a fantastic girly or elegant outfit!

 The swimwear

Swimwear is one of the top 10 must haves! During the hot season of summer there is no way you can live without going to the swimming pool in your back garden, holiday or going to the beach! I chose a beautiful full swimsuit and a bikini with high waisted bottoms to hide all the  little imperfections!

The cardigan

Even though it might seem like there is no need for extra layers during the summer one or two cardigans are always very useful especially during evenings and nights out where it might get a little chilly even if you are on holiday! One of the cardigans is extra summery with a beautiful dip dyed pattern in pink, orange and cream colours which just looks so summery!

The shorts

Shorts are a pretty self explanatory holiday must have. Here are two shorts I picked up which are in fashion for two different reasons. The first ones are a little bit over sized vintage shorts with slits and fraying which is really in right now. The others are dip dyed using bleach (this effect can be also done for less money as a fun DIY!) I'll link down some DIY dip dyed shorts tutorials in time for the summer!

The play suit

If you are not much of a dress person but want to still look beautiful and girly play suits are for you! Play suits are totally summery and with so many types of cuts and designs to choose from the choice is huge! They are sometimes much more comfortable than dresses because they have shorts so you can do anything without having to worry about showing off a little bit too much!

The trousers

Even though they might not be as much use as a play suit or shorts, trousers are a good thing to always have. Lately I been in love with high waisted trousers and I think they look great with any top such as a plain white tee, an over sized top, crop tops, tank tops, the list could go on. I love these light  denim tube pants and I personally they are a big number 1 on my wish list!

The accessories

Accessories make the outfit stand out so much more. I have chosen the top 2 accessories in my opinion which are sunglasses, and rings. The rings you can see above are gold midi rings which are very popular this year. They look beautiful and I am in love with them. The other top accessory for the summer must be sunglasses. These cat eye sunglasses in white look great and are totally needed for the summer!

The sandals

Last but definitely not least are sandals! During the summer I literally live in my pair of sandals. There are so many beautiful designs and patterns the hardest thing is choosing the ones you like. They look fantastic with whatever you wear, maxi dresses, dresses, play suits, trousers, shorts, literally anything! I couldn't recommend them more.

So I hope you have enjoyed reading my recommendations and hopefully that might help you in your next shop for the summer!

Trending now outfits

Hello readers,

Today I have quickly put together two outfits you can dress up and down to create a nice look which is quite in fashion right now. Check out the two styles I went for below.

Style 1

This is a pretty simple outfit which can be easily dressed up by maybe adding a over sized cardigan. This outfit consists of a short/long black chiffon skirt with a simple cream crop/belly top which I have tied at the back. For this outfit I have on some sandals which I brought recently for the summer. I also have a light brown studded leather bag. I also put on a chunky gold chain bracelet to add a bit to the outfit since of its simplicity.

Outfit 2

For this outfit I have decided to go for a midi dress. The dress I have has a tie dye pattern with different colours such as burgundy, pink, purples, navy blue, creams and whites (which I love!) Because the top of the dress is quite plain you could add a big piece of jewellery such as a necklace to dress it up, but instead I decided to put on a light pink scarf. On top of the dress I decided to put on a burgundy over sized blazer which I liked because since the dress is quite tight, putting something over sized on top would look nice. To finish off I put on black platform shoes with a lace pattern on them. Unfortunately because of my picture quality you cannot see it too well. And that is basically the whole outfit.

Outfit 1

Top - New Look
Skirt - New Look
Sandals - Primark
Bracelet - H&M
Bag - Primark

Outfit 2

Dress - Primark
Blazer - New look
Platforms - River Island
Scarf - Claires

Book review: The Perks of Being a Wallflower

Recently I have read this book called The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky. It is a truly beautiful and touching book, which is still very interesting to teenagers because of some of the serious adult themes being involved in the story of Young Charlie.

It is a book about all sorts of stuff, all joined together they make up Charlie's mind and life. There are funny parts, there are embarrassing parts and there are sad parts, this book takes you through a real journey of emotions, all in the eyes of a lonely 15 year old.

The whole book tackles a lot of teenage problems such as suicide, drinking, sex, sexuality, drugs, partying, love, family issues and so on. It is an amazing story of a young troubled boy, facing his issues along with his two older friends Sam and Patrick.

Here is a list of some of my favourite quotes from the book.

"So, I guess we are who we are for a lot of reasons. And maybe we'll never know most of them. But even if we don't have the power to choose where we come from, we can still choose where we go from there. We can still do things. And we can try to feel okay about them."

"I just want you to know that you’re very special… and the only reason I’m telling you is that I don’t know if anyone else ever has."

"We all deserve the love we think we deserve."

"I didn't feel like reading that night, so I went downstairs and watched a half-hour long commercial that advertised an exercise machine. They kept flashing a 1-800 number, so I called it. The woman who picked up the other end of the phone was named Michelle. And I told Michelle that I was a kid and did not need an exercise machine, but I hoped she was having a good night.
That's when Michelle hung up on me. And I didn't mind a bit."

"... And in that moment, I swear we were infinite."

I really do recommend this book to all the teens out there, because even though we might not want to, in a little way we all somehow relate to what the character went through in one point or another, whether it is loosing a friend, falling in love or going through changes. There is something in this book for everyone.

At a part of the book there is a very emotional poem, this is interpreted in so many ways. Some people say it is a suicide note from his friend Micheal, while others think it is something he has read somewhere. Here is is:

Once on a yellow piece of paper with green lines
he wrote a poem
and he called it "Chops"
because that was the name of his dog
and that's what it was all about
his teacher gave him an A
and a gold star
and his mother hung it on the kitchen door
and read it to his aunts.
that was the year Father Tracy
took all the kids to the zoo
and he let them sing on the bus
and his little sister was born
with tiny nails and no hair
and his mother and father kissed alot
and the girl around the corner sent him a
Valentine signed with a row of X's
and he had to ask his father what the X's meant
and his father always tucked him in bed at night
and was always there to do it.

Once on a piece of white paper with blue lines
he wrote a poem
he called it "Autumn"
because that was the name of the season
and that's what it was all about
and his teacher gave him an A
and asked him to write more clearly
and his mother never hung it on the kitchen door
because of the new paint
and the kids told him
that Father Tracy smoked cigars
and left butts on the pews
and sometime they would burn holes
that was the year his sister got glasses
with thick lenses and black frames
and the girl around the corner laughed
when he asked her to go see Santa Claus
and the kids told him why
his mother and father kissed alot
and his father never tucked him in bed at night
and his father got mad
when he cried for him to do it.

Once on a paper torn from his notebook
he wrote a poem
and he called it "Innocence: A Question"
because that was the question about his girl
and that's what it was all about
and his professor gave him an A
and a strange steady look
and his mother never hung it on the kitchen door
because he never showed her
that was the year Father Tracy died
and he forgot how the end
of the Apostle's Creed went
and he caught his sister
making out on the back porch
and his mother and father never kissed
or even talked
and the girl around the corner
wore too much make up
that made him cough when he kissed her
but he kissed her anyway
because it was the thing to do
and at 3 am he tucked himself into bed
his father snoring soundly.

That's why on the back of a brown paper bag
he tried another poem
and he called it "Absolutely Nothing"
because that's what it was really all about
and he gave himself an A
and a slash on each damned wrist
and he hung it on the bathroom door
because this time he didn't think
he could reach the kitchen----

3 outfits (H&M)

Hello readers,

Today I have been online browsing and I found some beautiful pieces of clothing and jewellery so I decided to do a styling post. The pictures underneath are showing some outfits I have put together from pieces I have found on the H&M website.

Personally I love H&M. It has great quality clothing, it is affordable and the clothing is lovely. Most of the pieces are for warm summer weather. Take a look below to see them!

Outfit 1: This is the 1st outfit I have picked up. I love the patterns on the top, that is why I chose it. The glasses look very diva like and for some reason just remind me of Beyonce. I picked out some light denim shorts with studded detailing in the pocket. I think the sandal heels are just amazing! I also picked up a black leather bag with a very nice zipper details on the sides. Along with that I decided to have some light gold jewellery.

Outfit 2: For this outfit I started off with a wrap around chiffon skirt. Then I added a basic sleeveless crop top (ONLY £3.99!) Since it's summer I decided to add some colour so I chose a bright yellow one. For footwear I decided to have some beautiful black wedges and a black tote bag. I added some sunglasses in a faint cheetah print and a gold necklace. I added a simple yet effective golden bracelet to top it off.

Outfit 3: This outfit is definitely more classy than the other two. I started off with a plain black maxi dress with a nice slit on the side up to about knee length. I added a beautiful cream cardigan on top. Because of the simplicity of the dress I decided to go for a big chain necklace to bling up the dress. To top it off I added simple black sandals with a beautiful opening on the side. This is a more sophisticated outfit, maybe for an evening dinner?

Which outfit is your favourite?
